Hello everyone, or I suppose I should say anyone who actually has the time to read this. I'm rather new to this whole blog thing, and by the end of it there will probably be a lot of grammar mistakes, but oh well. Just something that I've been wanting to get off of my chest for a while, and I'm rather curious about the rest of you, but I have a bit of a problem with casting things on myself when they're not exactly the best thing to do.

Hm! I'm very happy to see your post! It does inspire one to consider an answer. So, over time others may answer, but I'd like to give it a simple shot right now.

I know this will sound kind of simple, and also not very fruitful, but here-goes: BE IN SERVICE TO OTHERS.

That's it. That's the whole trick. Live primarily for others, and not yourself. Those annoying family members? Change yourself and be a tool for them to use.

As I recently told someone, "be NOTHING and you will have everything to give to others."

Maybe over time other folks will have a view to offer.

Sounds to me like you're doing the right thing. People are stepping all over you? Be a stepping stone for them. Be footing for them. Don't let ego get in the way of being there for others.

Here's the thing...eventually those people will mature and they will experience people walking on THEM. On that day, they will reflect on how they walked on you, and they will know how it feels. Life's like that. Eventually, we all get to screw up big time, and then, we learn a valuable lesson. It's through mistakes (especially BIG screw-ups) that we learn how to act right, and ultimately, how to be in service to others. In the end, people that celebrate a friendship or memory with you will remember either the awesome things you did, or the selfless things you did to make their life better, or they will remember the times you walked on them.

Keep your eye on the prize.

That's my view of it. perhaps others have something else to share.

And thank you for the post. You've given me some things to think about, and you've reminded me why I'm here.
