My name is Shawn, but I've gone by Malywnne for many years. I come from a long line of traditional witches on my mother's side. Their tradition was an eclectic mix of Germanic paganism, Celtic and other northern European practices. I'm 43 years old but I was brought into the Craft in my early childhood. I grew up in the pre internet days with the books that almost everyone read at that time ie Buckland, Cunningham, Mama Silver etc.
About me. I'm a straight white male living out in the sticks in East Texas. I guess you could say I'm half in, half out of the witch closet. My closest friends and family know I'm a Witch, but most people don't know, and I prefer to keep it that way for obvious reasons. The most obvious reason being that I live in the Bible Belt and I really don't want to be burned at the stake (lol)
About my Practice. I really can't put a label on what I do. I'm not Wiccan and I don't really interact with Gods and Goddesses. My practice is more traditional in that I deal mostly with herbs, healing, astrology and basic energy work etc. I have many years of experience in herbalism, healing, midwifery (yes you heard that correctly) and spellwork. I don't do a lot of spellwork anymore because I really have no need to. I'm not a part of any coven and I prefer to stay solitary.
I rarely use crystals and I tend to avoid divination methods like tarot. I don't follow the wheel of the year but I do celebrate certain seasonal rites.
I guess if I had to choose a label, I have to put myself somewhere on the scale between traditional Celtic green witchery and old style Appalachian conjure magic.
I'm just an old fashioned country witch. So that's enough about me. I'm open to chat about anything and everything so hit me up!

In all honesty, we're very similar in practices. You'll find alot of people much like ourselves, and have an opportunity to learn from everyone.
Blessed be.
